A few weeks ago I got a pair of N. Brichardi. Monday night when I fed my fish I had fry! For the last couple of weeks they have been moving sand like mad, but I didn't see anything and
kind of forgot about it. I'll try and get some pictures taken.

Very nice fish, only one problem... Once they start breeding they forget to stop... I hope you enjoy your new babies!

That's the way it is with any fish.

Congratulations on the fry! I know I was excited when I got my first batch of brichardi fry. I wasn't 100% certain on the sexing until the babies showed up.

Yeah maybe, but with these guys I had more than 500 babies in only 4 months! Last spawning was 184 litle babie brichardis!:D I am keeping more than 50 or maybe even 60 species of African Cichlids in my tanks, no other species produces so big spawnings!:D Thats why I gave them as a gift to a friend of mine, even though they were F0! I got that pair from Germany!

I don't think my julis are quite so prolific with any one spawn, but they sure do crank out multiple spawns!

One of the lfs owners here in OKC compared brichardi to convicts when it came to breeding. I sold mine at an auction as soon as I had the first spawn, so I didn't get a chance to see on my own if they're as prolific as I've heard.
