Product Info Request: Mardel Buffer Up

hello i just bought some "Mardel Buffer Up" would this increase the PH Level in my tank to say about 8.0 ? ;o just curious is all

Not familiar with that product (haven't used it that is). Perhaps someone else can help.

Still, I tend to find it better to use gravel and rocks in the aquarium to buffer the water.
