This is one of 3 that I bought from a guy that i fear is cross-breeding because I cannot find these on any websites. With the exception of the electric blue, I don't know the others. This is the first of 2 more posts w/ pictures.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Yoda24

After a bit of research, my fears prove unfounded. I believe this is a Pseudotropheus "acei". Can anyone confirm?

Thanks,

Finally got a pic of the other two, although they aren't the best. They're being elusive for some reason.

Any help would be great

And the last one...

The last picture doesn't show the back of the fish and I have add that near that area he has a slight (very slight) reddish tint, not on the whole back side, just under his belly and near the anal fins.

This one is some sort of Melanochromis I think. Maybe a male johanni. The last one looked like a cobalt to me.

Both are just guess though.

Jonah, thanks... looks like you're right. I researched that name: Melanochromis and that seems to be exactly what it is; full name = Melanochromis Cyaneorhabdos (Maingano). Part of the Mbuna's.
It also looks like you were right about the cobalt: Metriaclima callainos.
I feel so much better now... thanks for your help.

that second one could also be a male melanochromis johanni...they are very difficult to tell apart.

I had the same problem when I got mine. I think the second photo of yours is an electric blue johanni. I have one that is very similar. Yours is a lot more delicate than mine, but my boss blue is a pig and won't let anyone eat until he's had his fill. I'm with sgm that they are difficult to tell apart... The only thing that I can add is the cyaneorahabdos is more torpedo-like.
Here's melanochromis johanni...
