I have two tanks. One is a 20 Gallon tank with three 5 inch African Cichlids in there, they are always fighting. I know its to small for them and im getting ready to transport them into a 55 gallon tank. The other is in a 30 gallon tank with 10 other 2 inch Cichlids. I got them when they were about an inch. They all grow but that one, it is still they same size from when I got it. Now I have 4 fish not eatting in two different tanks. And two days ago the 1 inch fish died! Why are they not eatting? I don't want my 3 other fish to die, HELP!

do they exhibit any other symptoms besides not eating? like bloated abdomens, concave abdomens...what have you been feeding them? what are your tank's parameters? ph? temp? ammonia/nitrites/nitrates?

I have had Cichlids for three years. Everything is what it should be. They just are not eatting, I think they are pissed because the tank is so small.

Try some different food, add a little variety to the diet. Could be that they do not like the stuff they are getting, that it is spoiled, or it just doesn't suit thier diet.

I didn't think of it spoiling. I have had it for almost a year, a big thing of it. They have almost ate it all. Mabey they just are sick of the food, or it might of spoiled. I was thinking of trying new food anyways. Tanks :) It's the right diet.

Try feeding them brine shrimp once a week. If they don't eat that then something is def. wrong.
