Clown loaches can reach up to a foot in length. The two fire mouths are fine, however. And the loaches grow slow, but they will out grow that tank.

A foot is the max that they will reach in an aquarium. In the wild they can exceed a foot and grow larger. I've seen some clown loaches in an aquarium setting at a foot, but most will reach 8 to 10 inches. The possibility for them to reach a foot in length is there, however. Like I said, they grow pretty slow and they go great with sa/ca cichlids, so if there small, you can leave them for now, but be aware that there may come a time where the loaches will grow out of the tank.

well the reason I wanted clowns is that they have spunk and personality can you suggest another loach or bottem feeder that has this personality. have been suggested yo yo loaches for my tank but know nothing about them.

thanks for your help
