Hi...I'm gades, i recently decided to start a semi-aggressive/aggressive fish tank which consists of mainly cichlids. I added:
x 1 Firemouth
x 1 Albino Oscar
x 1 (unidentified) Puffer fish
x 1 Convict cichlid
x 2 Pleco's.

I saw the pufferfish at petco yesterday and he was so cool i just had to have him. The Fish attendant at petco didn't even know what it was and gave him to me for $4.99, he had nothing to tell me about the fish and how it might react with the other fish in my tank...I'm just wondering if these fish should all get along ok? they're basically all around the exact same size and the only fish showing any type of aggression is the Convict, and he only gets mad if a fish comes to close to his tiny cave. There are 2 tall plants and a giant tree trunk type cave. Any input will be very appreciated. thanks!:nervous:

Welcome, bongface

I'm going to copy your post so that it also appears in the American Species forum--you'll likely get a better answer from one of our New World gurus there (they don't seem to work Sundays, though) :)
