Thanks to Dane, www.cichlidgallery.com is revived. A couple of improvements of note:
1. The script was modified so that relative URL paths would be returned. So instead of the program default of something like
<I><http://www.cichlidgallery.com/albums.php?id=Your-Album&photo=89058860404&other=800kkgui></I> , you now get
<I><http://www.cichlidgallery.com/Your-Album/pic4.php></I>.
Much easier to use with <I> img </I>tags.
2. Slideshow: A nifty program upgrade. You’ll see the option to view a slideshow of an album after clicking on the highlight thumbnail pic.
<I>How to create albums and upload your photos</I>:
1. Log in using your Cichlid Forums username and the password you’ll receive via PM. (You should change this temporary password in the gallery “preferences.”)
2. On the next screen, choose “new album.” Be sure to give your album a title and a description.
3. Click on “ add photos.” You’ll see the prompt for the upload. Simply browse to the file on your computer. You can upload 10 images at a time.
4. Please be sure to write descriptive text for each photo—e.g., the species name at least.
After uploading your photos, you may want to post them to the gallery forums here using the <I> img </I> tags. Use the BBCode format provided by the forum program which you can see when you mouse over the Img icon in the message tag bar.
<I>Notes: The entire content of the old gallery is backed up but will have to be uploaded manually. Please give me some time to do that. If you’d prefer to re-upload your own album, please PM me for the URL.
You will "see" some missing headers within the album. These do not affect functionality and will be adjusted shortly. </I>
