I would like to polish (remove very fine particles) the water in my 75 gallon tank. I heard that Bonded Filter Pads were a good choice. I am using an AC110 with 2 sponges. I was thinking of putting the Bonded Pad between the 2 sponges, but was scared that it may stop good bacteria from growing on the second (last sponge). Am I worrying about nothing?

Have you ever tried using quilt batting? My Walmart sells king-size quilt batting material for $6.99. It's an excellent water polishing filter material and is cheap cheap cheap. I"ve been using it for years with good success.
