Hey guys. I would really like to get into shipping out fry and semi-adult cichlids. I have two pairs that have bred more then once now. I have only been able to sell six of my fry to a local pet shop. It's nice, but they can only take so many at one time, since they are small, and we don't have a lot of cichlid owners in town. If you have any information that would help me out in getting started please let me know. Like the usual price for fry, size, etc... and what prices are on different types of cichlids, I only have a pair of red zebras, and peacocks.. so please let me know. My family wants to get into the bussiness..

Check out aquabid.com to get an idea of selling price/s. You could also try to find some clubs or forums in Canada, since shipping them to the States isn't practical. Craiglist?
Otherwise, breather bags and heat packs if the temp's are too low for general comfort are about the best way to ship fish. Mbuna and peacocks are't particularly delicate fish, they usually travel well.

superiorenterprise.com has great prices on heat packs. And AngelsPlus.com has great prices on fish bags.
