My livingroom lighting is incandescent 3 bulbs at 65watts each. last night i was doing my weekly tests of my tanks. Got a Ph reading of 8.6, in the 55gal. anyways had one more test to do and all tubes where filled, so had to rince one out to finish up. picked up the one i just did the ph test, walked into the kitchen and as i went to empty it in the sink i notticed the reading/color was different. So i checked the reading it was at 8.2.
So desided to retest....back into the living room i went retested and ph 8.6 again, held card and tube up and did a 360deg turn thinking it was the way light was reflecting through the tube, nope still reading ph 8.6, Desided to go in the kitchen and check reading there..... yep reading showed ph 8.2. in kitchen. Lighting in kitchen is Fluorescent.
Hmmm... from the time i set tanks up till now, which readings are correct/more accurate very confusing.
