My buffalo heads breed in my 30 gal tank. I looked a little closer the other day and saw about 50 good size fry everywhere. The parents evicted the 6 ocellatus, 3 multi's, and 3 J. transcriptus from their shells and keep them all at the top of the tank so the fry can have the entire bottom of the tank. In my 80 gal tank my multi's have about 20 fry which look like they will make it and I actually got to see my Cyprichromis leptosoma breed in open water. The mother has the fry in her mouth so I don't know how many there are or how big they are. C. leptosoma are the coolest fish. The really put on a show when they defend territory or breed. I wish I could share my fry with everyone. I have a ton of them.

I do not have a digital camera. I wish you could see the tank. Have you ever seen Cyprichromis leptosomas breed or battle. They are amazing fish.

You HAVE to get some! They are so cool. The only thing is I would recommend keeping them in a large tank. 125 gal is ideal. 80 gal is minimum I would keep them in. They are too cool.
