Does any one know if the Supreme Prefilter Sponge Mag Drive 9.5, 12, 18 will fit on my AQ 70 powerheads? If you have one could you please tell me the diameter of the opening fitting on the sponge so I can see if I can make it fit. With or without the cone fitting i was wondering if it would fit my powerhead b4 i go and purchase them from online.

Thanks Mike

If you know of any sponges that will fit the AQ 70 powerhead plz post. (Not the QuickFilter attachment! Want a sponge for USJ use.)

3/4 " I don't think that will fit.... the 3-5-7 prefilters are 1/2" if that helps....

RustyNut, what powerhead model did you use on your USJ's? What pre-filter sponges? I'm really thinking of just using differnt powerheads and save myself the trouble. What would you recommend for 5-6 jets on a 55? And as for adapting? I was thinking of using the rio's but what models? Mark Elieson, the guy on cichlid-forums that wrote the article on UGJ's used Rio 2100 and 1700 pumps for his tanks.

i was looking at using two Rio 1400 powerheads w/ 420 gph.
I need to know if a sponge can be attached to the intake of it Like Shown Here: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/ug_jets.php
