We all kno central american cichlids are messy and produce alot of waste but is this filter setup enough for one rd and a pleco in a 75.

With regular water changes and maintenance it should be. Have you been making sure the filters are in prime running condition?

yes.....and i am always changing the cartridges.I do water changes once every week and a half.

You should also change out that rusting piece of metal on the top of your tank.

It could cause problems if it hasn't already.

What is that rusty piece of metal? A center brace?

As long as the metal was structurally sound I wouldn't sweat it.

yea.......it is a brace home mad lol.what kind of problems could it cause.Is there a way u could buy a center brace for a 75 gallon.

Most manufacturers sell them, I know I eventually have to purchase a replacement top glass for my 55($15).

People are worried about the rust getting into the tank, I wouldn't be too worried about that in all honestly.
