View Full Version : New "used" tank

I just purchased a 35 gallon hexagon tank and stand for 50 bucks. I couldn't pass the opportunity up. This might be a simple question, but I need to ask it. The lady I bought it from cleaned it with some sort of cleaner before she gave it to me. I know you aren't supposed to use any sort of cleaner on tanks because it can hurt the fish. What do you recommend I do to get all the cleaner off of the aquarium before I start filling it with water and decor? Do I just need to rinse it out really well?

yes, and after you've set it up again I suggest getting a couple TEST fish and seeing if there is any lingering effects....

I would also add a good detoxifier like PRIME.
