I have found a very good price on a used large tank with stand..however there is a hitch one of the corners is pulled apart at the top. My question is, how hard is this to fix??? Is it as simple as stripping the silicone of the corner that is effected then reapplying it and adding a few clamps..or is there way more to it than that???

sounds like more trouble than it's worth...could be a disaster in the making.:nervous:

You could fix it, but then again if it's a big tank do you really want to chance that it could come apart and spill all over the floor? The call is yours to make... but in my experience fish tanks have a life span and when it's up, it's up!

Your probally right....for an extra 100$ I can probally buy the same tank in good shape, and I won't have to worry about it. Besides an extra 100$ is better than $2000 in new carpet!!!

OR $10,000 on a new floor/electrical work/home appliances because you lost 100 gallons of water that permeated the wood and went into the basement and shorted the electrical wiring and ruined your home entertainment system, and... etc...

I am super paranoid, but I think your right to spend the extra $100.
