hmmmm.... you should PM Tom on this one, I think it might be difficult as the writers of the articles will be anonymous when they are judged. So the judges would know its you if you write in French.
I really hope we can get your article in regardless because you have a great knowledge of Lake Victoria.

Et une idee capital! Je suis certainment que une person avec l'abilite escrir l'article en Francais.
Ok, did I massacre my grandfather's native language well enough?
I'm sure there is someone on this board (perhaps from O Canada, my ancestral birthplace :) ) who might translate it into Englais.
I can read it well, but not translate/write it well. (Forgive me Grandpere!)
Hi Christophe
Let's do this: After you've written a paragraph or two, send me both the original French and your English translation of it (no matter how limited) to the email address given in the Contest Rules. I'll email you shortly thereafter. We can then get a pretty good idea of what to expect and decide one way or another. I can't myself render a faithful translation--nor would I: I've done enough translations to know that the work involved would, quite frankly, demand much more of my time than I'm able to offer.
It did occur to me to include "Articles must be in English" in the Rules, but given that English and only English has been used on this board, I figured...well, I guess I figured wrong. :)
