I have 2 eletric yellows in my tank along with a few other cichlids. One of my yellows got sick a little over a week ago and wasnt using his tail much to swim and would just stay on the bottom of the tank. Now he is doing a little better but his black stripes on his body are really dark. They never used to be that way, he used to be a bright yellow, now he looks like he is dirty. Is this normal? Does stress cause this? All my reading for the tank are fine, and so are my other fish.
Oh one more thing, how do you tell a male yellow from a female yellow. I have looked on the internet but really havent gotten any answers. Do does anyone have a pic of a male and female they could show me? Thanks a bunch!:wink: :(
