buffer

my ph is fluctuating in my 55 gallon mbuna tank. i have some small pieces of coral but i dont have crushed coral as a substrate yet. what else could i use as a buffer for the meantime ( about a month ) is there anything found in the house i could use? is there anything better then crushed coral as a buffer? if not whats the best crushed coral?

hi fishy. :D did you check out the two threads that i referred you to?--the answers are there. some folks use purchased rift lake buffers, others put the crushed coral in the filter, and others use baking soda.
