What is the best type of lighting for Victorians? I am helping my dad to set up a new tank, just need the lighting system.

What kind of vics? I think it depends. I've found a cooler light works best for thost that are more red/orange/yellow and a warmer light helps with the more blue/purple/green(ish) fish. Like i use a fairly dim light on my A. latifasciata, but brighter on the limax/chromogynos. I'm not a big lighting junkie, but i can look at what kinds of bulbs are in my fixtures when i get home.

a combo power glo, aqua glow is popular
combo daylight, Colormax
Unless your running plants, no need to spend big money on the lights. a 50 watt pair of reg output flourecents are fine.
I have a ?? 54? watt dual bulb fixture. and it is more than enough
