Ok so... I currently have fry and soon I'm going to move them into a 3 gal and i put a sponge on the filter. The tube of it.. And I'm wondering what that does? Is it deadly to the fry? will they get sucked up? should I take the sponge out??? I need fast replies, they will be free swimming soon.

keep the sponge on the end. It covers the filter intake so that the fry can't fit through the holes. On a 3 gallon though, your best course of action would be just a straight up sponge filter, that gets powered by an airpump

well what I did was I bought some sponges, I cut it up in a little thin piece. I rinsed it first tho, then I put it inside the intake. Also, LFS has a jr green terror, should I get one of these and put it in my 3 gal and then in my 20 gal with my 4in cons when it gets big enough?

The green terror is if none of the fry make it alive..
