salinity with a hydrometer [Archive]

can a hydrometer measure the salt content in my mbuna tank. if so, how high or low should my salinity be.

I doubt it unless it was digital and very sensitive.

how much salt and what kind of salt would you recommend? what other things (minerals, hiding spots) would you recommend to keep my fish happy.
