Hi,

Just purchased a trio of juvenile pheno's, I had to put them in my 55 mbuna tank as my 125g Hap tank would have been hazardous to their health. Anyway, would someone who has experiece with this species advise me as to their growth rate?

Also bought two juvie Sunshine peacocks, also in the mbuna tank.

Should I raise the protein level of my 55 to compensate for the addl juvie Haps?, or should I try just for a delicate balance.

If you wish you can view my response to a post in the General Cichlid Forum under "feeding".

I appreciate anyones help, as I have had a hard time obtaining the phenos and want everything to go well.

Thanks,

Matt

Phenos rule! They should grow to about 6 inches in a year the females will be 4 inches. They will also "spot" over.

You can check my web site and my gallery site for juvie and current pics.

Phenos are fast feeders. You'll be amazed at how quick they get to food. Its all they care about in fact. Otherwise they are very good tank mates and are hardly aggresive, even when feeding.

Glad you got some Phenochilus, welcome to the family :)
