i bought this fish when it was very small. now it has the blue highlights and white stripe on the dorsal fin

My computer show it a bit dark but thats my guess.

its not a great picture but the fish is very dark almost black
Can you tell me anything about them. He is not aggressive but seems to handle aggression well

Ya I am more of a dog guy. I did have a catonce. I bought him at a novelty shop he was stuffed and was called Earl the dead cat. I loved him. :lol:

i disagree--i think it looks more like an aulonocara--the body is not round enough to be copadochromis. also notice that it does not have the light-colored blaze on its back that the copadochromis has.

I'm looking right at my Sci. fryeri and it looks a lot like your fish, especially with the lights off. The body shape is right, the fin shape is right, the white stripe on the dorsal is right and it has the yellow tint on the anal fin. Mine has yellow specks in it's caudal fin and is shiny blue with dark vertical bars on the body.
