This thread is for a few tanks that I am letting go. Once again I let my compulsive side get the best of me and am buying another 150 Gallon. The tank count is getting too high, and its time for me to let go of my small tanks. I've got the following for sale, and I can deliver within the city.
55 Gallon AGA. pretty much brand new, been running for two months. Beautiful black stand with cupboards (store bought, not DIY) Selling everything for the price of the stand ($250) Everything cost me about $600 brand new a few months ago.
75 Gallon (48"x18"x18"). This tank has been running about 30 days. Good sized foot print and is great for cichlids. Attn: ATG ( your gonna need some room for those Dempseys of yours ) This tank is $250 as well and the stand isn't as pretty as the 55's. Pretty basic, black, but does the trick and comes free with the tank.
Oh and ATG204, If you take the 75 ... it comes with a free EBJD ... I remember you saying that they are the reason you got into cichlids in the first place.

Here is a pic of the 55 ( mostly just to show you what the stand looks like. )

Well for the price I'm selling them for I would include everything that came with the tanks when I bought them. On the 55, it came with the hood, lights, and a filter so that is all included.
However on the 75, I bought just the glass, didn't come in a kit. I have shoplighting for it (DIY) and the stand is also DIY. The filters that I run on it are an AC110, and an AC70 Powerhead, which won't be included as I'll be moving them to the new 150. I mean just those two filters alone are a $200 value.
Its hard to swallow these losses, since I just bought all of this stuff ... but in my eyes bigger is better, and its time to move out some of these smaller tanks. multiple tank syndrome has definitely gotten the best of me haha. I was just hoping that someone from these forums might be able to take advantage of my losses rather than some stranger from the buy and sell. I haven't listed them anywhere yet, I wanted to give you guys first grab at them if your interested.

ok so for $250 is the 75gallon tank, stand, light and im assuming theres a lid? when u say u bought the glass do you mean you made the tank?
i can get a good heater for about 25 bucks so lets say IF i were to grab this tank what do you recommend for filtration
an HOB and powerhead or a canister?

that would depend on your preference. I personally run an HOB and a powerhead. It has a glass top, and you can have the light with it as well if you want it. The stand is nothing impressive. When I say I bought the glass, I mean I didn't buy it in a package, i bought just the aquarium, and glass lid. I didn't get hoods, lights, filters, heaters, or anything with it
So basically whats for sale is a 75 Gallon tank, The glass lid, the stand ( not amazing, but does the trick), and the 4 foot dual bulb light. It has a background on it as well which you can have, and you can have the white sand thats in there as well, or I can just toss it, whichever.

Man, read as (**##""!!) can you meet in the middle (drive time that is). LOL
I'd love to have everything. The wife would shoot me of course, but if I got enough time to see 'em set up with fish, I guess after she shot me, they would be her problem. LOL LOL.
Really though, good prices on the stuff, but I guess it would be too much of a hassle to accomplish the trans. though.
Good luck.

well... that sure is an interesting proposition. dont forget about the Jack!
All i can say is i'll consider it and by the weekend you'll know if you've suckered me into it. I'm already deciding what to put in the damn thing
....evil....

yup, pure concentrated evil.
The thing is, I remember you saying your a student. I know what its like to be in your position. I'm a law student, and wow ... expensive. But with a good job over the summer, I got suckered into another 150 and need to make room by moving some smaller tanks.
Lets just say your getting a hell of a deal ... and these prices are for these members only ... I'm losing about half of the money I put into these tanks a few short weeks ago ... but I can relate to the hobbiest trying to save a buck better than anyone can. And I'd be content with the loss to see you benefit your fish. You've got two JD's as it is ... plus an EBJD ... your gonna need at least 75 gallons haha ;)
