Cleaning heavily planted aquariums?

how do i siphon the gravle on a densly planted aquarium? or do u need to do that at all?...

imho, you do not need to vacuum the gravel in a densely planted aquarium--that gunk is plant food. for aesthetic purposes, you can lightly vac the surface of the substrate to pick up leaf litter, but i don't.:D
