Every pic I have seen of this guy online was black with gold spots. But mine is like a yellowish bronze color. I was mad when I got him home and did the research and found out he didn't eat all that much algae, but now he's already starting to grow on me, very peculiar fish.

I like him! What do you keep with him, is he ok with Mbuna? And how big do they get?

They are called Vampire Pleco's because of their front teeth.

The Vampire is gone ... I traded him in for 2 Bristlenose Pleco's.

The Count ( as I called him ) was very good lookin' but pretty useless otherwise. He was nocturnal, and didn't eat algae. So basically, I never saw him and he served no purpose. Clearly I got ripped off in the trade if you put a $ value on it ... but at least my tank will be algae free from now on

Put a small chunk of drift wood in there. The BN's like wood. Don't go overboard though since it works to lower PH.
