Well, I dont really want the fish, i jsut want the kick ass looking corals and maybe some invertabraes.
i was told i can do that with a 10 gallon tank....this true? i mena i'm not gonna have fish in there at all, just the corals.

do a search on nano reef tanks--that is what you are proposing. you need to do a lot of research before you try it. btw--corals are invertebrates.

try www.nano-reef.com .
It's tricky in a 10g, but it can be done and it's easier without fish.

thnx mucho! that neno-reef site isthe exact thing i needed. and it had some articles supporting my tank idea. thnx again :)
water changes are critical, don't forget the skimmer. And in a 10 gallon I would spend mucho-deniro on a solid lighting system, especially if you want to keep inverts and anemones!
good luck

Eek. I had a friend who couldn't keep a 20g balanced. I've ehard it's better to start larger with reefs because you have better buffering from the water volume. I've also heard that inverts ae much more picky than fish (not always but often) when it comes to water quality.
Good Luck!!
aharris has heard right! Nanoreefs are much harder to keep than a full blown 55 gallon or bigger. Corals are wierd. They don't like competition. When one gets too close they wage war (no joke)... some have tenticle-like attachments that can sting or kill other inverts (I'm not talking about anemone's) and others just release poison into the tank that kills everything else... the problem in a nano reef is that you don't have enough water volume to buffer this kind of behaviour. Corals are crammed together and the water is easy to pollute. Larger tank = more stable system... I can find some more reading resources if you want. I used to keep salts... but I don't have the time for it anymore.
good luck
