My wife got a cat just last week. To tell you all the truth, I don't care for cats. We have 2 dogs, my fish, and a baby on the way. WE DIDN'T NEED A CAT! All who are married know what happend when the wife sets her mind and will understand why I lost that battle. One reason I do not care for cats is the fact that they don't interact with most animals well that are smaller. Fish are one of these and I was not thrilled to have one around my brood. I told her the cat better not take any out or it would be out and back to its old home. While my wife was at work I was fixing myself something to eat in the kicthen when I heard a splash and a cat screeming and meowing in protest. I turned around just intime to see my wifes new cat being pulled into my 100g tank........by my 13" albino tiger oscar "Snowflake". Apreently she had gooten the lid up and stuck her paw in, probly pawing around at the fish I guess. I stood and watched as he dragged her in by her front paw and completely into the tank. In a split second he let go and she was out of the tank and running out of the kitchen and into the livingroom. Snowflake was flaring up and charging the glass. I could stop laughing and almost couldn't breath. 10 seconds before this cat probly thought it was at the top of the food chain, and then got the suprise of a life time. It kinda reminded me of the National Geographic when the Lion is drinking at the river and the Croc explodes from the water, grabing it and pulling it in. My wife came home and hugged and sweet talked her poor, moist, kitty....telling me how cruel Snowflake was. I laughed and reminded her if it would have been the otherway around, she would have said it was just nature and part of the food chain. Not to mention the fact that she was invading his space. Out of all my fish he will always be my favorite because he never ceases to amaze me. I have never heard or know of an Oscar to do the kind of things he does(Unless the owner tried just to impress someone). I don't care if anyone ever beleives me about the way he is or the things he does, all that matters is that he makes me happy and brings me joy. He will always be "The Albino Colossus" because he is the most unussual fish I have ever know. I am sure everyone has a fish that was just as special and unussual to them as he is to me.
