For the life of my i cannot find one of my 2 BNs. I have searched high and low, im really at a loss here, the only thing i havent done was crack open every shell (Multie tank)....

Any thoughts?

thanks

have you checked behind your stand? I don't know about BNs, but my common pleco gets startled once in a while and darts to the top. maybe your bn just didn't know when to turn around. good luck in your search.

I've checked behind the stand, the filter, all the nooks and crannies of my background (a DIY). I think it might be alien abduction or something....

...I'm thinking the multis "off'd" em.....

Both species would be in competition for the shells as breeding areas...My multies never would tolerate a pleco of any kind...they killed a BN and two rubber lips before I gave up keeping anything else with them...they are really mean lil' buggers...

seedy, do you think i should move my other BN? If so... i doubt he'd fare well in my other tank (mbuna). But my friend has a nice community tank with plenty of algae :)

A shellie tank is no place for any pleco. Algae growth in the tank will actually encourage spawning, not to mention the territorial issues.
