Rams and Rainbows

thinking about starting new tank with a group of firemouths and a group of rainbows, would a pair of rams be okay in this 5, 2, 2ft tank?

Not really. Rams are from South America and need soft, acid water to thrive. They are not really very tolerant in that regard. Also, they are much smaller and much less aggressive than the others. They would only last so long......

The Firemouths and Rainbows are from Central America. They hail from areas where the water is harder and more alkaline (but they are very adaptable nonetheless).

bolivain rams are pretty hardy and pretty. still dont think they would hold their own against a firemouth
