While I was gone for the weekend my husband changed the tank water for me. How sweet:oops: Well, almost. The fish went into shock for some reason, and 2 fish passed on. An mbamba and half crimson, and my husband owes me.

Now I would like some advice on what to replace them with:D
What I have: 55 gal. All fish are currently 2-3 in.
Electric Blue (M)
Hap Half Crimson (M)
Mbamba (M)
Yellow Lab (?)
Aul. Swallowtail (F)

I don't know if I should get mates for some of these guys, or just get more different males. I was kind of thinking about getting a male and female swallowtail to keep the poor girl company. But I do like color.
Any suggestions, and opinions would be grately appreciated. Thanx!

I would add mates and make it trios, you could be in for more aggresion when you throw the females in though.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I want to get some females.
Any thoughts on whether I should move the half crimson or mbamba?
They all seem to get along together, but I don't know how mbuna deal with the non-mbuna when they get older. But at least they are from the same lake. I didn't know the half crimson was victorian when I picked them up (him and his late wife) they were in the area with all the malawi. I picked them up pretty cheap though, the lfs was just trying to get rid of them.
Oh the perils of being a fish

my half crimsons do just fine with my adult mbuna.
