Looks like Nimbochromis venustus.

i can't say i'm convinced that that is him becasuse his stripes are a little different than the ones you showed. so here are 2 more picfs of him

here is the best pic i have of him to date. i'm still not quite sure if he is the fish you are claiming.

Have you tried a Google image search? They don't all look exactly the same and mature fish look quite different, but the pictures you've shown definitly look like a venustus.

you were right it is a livingstoni. i went back to the petstore where i got him and it said that he was one. thanks!

i saw a venutus that looks exactly like that today... they get big, the one i saw was around 12inches..

Mature males get a blue/yellow color to them when they're ready to breed.
