View Full Version : Feeding time at the kane residence
I thought these were cool pics. My fish now come up to the top even when the light is off. The bigger they get, the hungirer they get. It is not often you get to see them piled up together and no drowned out by decor and fish tank lights.

wow!!! what size tank do you have???
Not big enough....
:D
These guys are in a 187 6.5 foot by 2 foot tank. I have them with the idea that I am just going to keep 4 large cichlids in there with cons, and other dithers and targets, however everybody seems to be getting along at this point so I will have some time to get another tank for the rejects. My tanks are all full dammit
You should check out the female Bleekeri in another tank posted in the African gallery. SHe is awesome.

Excellent Rudy! The photos are definantly improving. Are you using a nice camera? That Red Devil has awsome color. Definantly a keeper. The Bleekeri is gorgeous and the Festae is magnificent.
Is that a convict with those orangy fins? Looks like a Honduran race.
Good luck, they all seem to be doing very well. (oh yeah nice Dovii)

Thanks Rex. Nope same camera. Cannon s200 2.0 megapixels.
I have just been practising a lot. This tanks is great. All the fish have there own way of making things just that much better.
The con could be handouran as it does have orange fins a bit. I would be surprised though as I got them out of a bargain bin tank.
Have you checked out the Female bleekeri in the american gallery? She is something else. We should get Tom to link the american, and kick as big africans together. Putting a pic of a buttikoferi with the magnificent feeders of lake malawi just does not do them justice.
On thing I have learned about bleekeri though as they get bigger they do get extremely aggressive. He runs the tank and she runs the other tank.
I would like to try breeding them again, however the worst aggression is shown when they are together. Divider or no divider I have almost lost the female a couple of times.
:D :D
