Hypselecara temporalis, aka chocolate cichlid.
Note: if you are interested in some F1 fry, talk to that Solace guy. :D

I should add that at rest, he is all medium green with all red fins. His eyes are redish/orange.
I really don't think he's a flowerhorn.
And I don't know enough about chocolate's...
At the store they said something like Tempora??

Ah yes, I see it. Can you tell I've been looking at too many flowerhorn pics recently? LOL. I saw the light red behind the gill plate, and the dark streak (I thought maybe the "flowers") down the middle and thats why I said FH.
Chocolates are BEAUTIFUL fish! I want one in my next tank.

Yep. Looks nice & green. Should be very pretty.
BTW - as fish speaker said hypselecara temporalis
temporalis = Tempora - something

I try to inject a little humor sometimes...hopefully it's appreciated, and doesn't offend. Once you get that fish healed up, I think you'll really be pleased. I have a temporalis that's a great fish, even with his water quality issues (evidently prone to HLLE, he had been healing nicely for months, only to show up this week with some new pits...:( ) Good luck wih it!:ok:
