Cichlidforums.com will be taken down for about an hour early tomorrow morning, March 19, from 12:30 to 1:30 ET, while it's being moved to its new home on one of our own servers.
While the move itself will be done quickly, the domain name must resolve to the new nameservers, which means basically that the name "cichlidforums.com" must propagate across the Internet before you can post on the "correct" forum. Often this propagation time can be up to 72 hours (24-48 hrs is the norm), but we're aiming for just 12 hours, although that will also depend largely on how frequently your local ISP updates their cache.
Bottom line: You can post, PM, whatever until 12:30 ET AM tomorrow and then again after you no longer see the "IMPORTANT" message at the upper right. Or, while waiting for the name to resolve, you can access the "new" site at the IP address: http://209.50.253.114 (again, this is only after 1:30 AM March 19).
Don't freak out if you get a blank or index page: It won't last long. Instead of taking tranqs, you can always get in touch with me at
etlux@procentra.net (some of you will recognize that address: That server has had a downtime of maybe a couple of hours total in three years).
Thanks!
