We'd been gone for two days and when I got home today, both my male furcifer were in the best breeding color yet!

Especially the big male, he lit up like a neon sign every time a female got close.

I must say that it was one of the nicest welcome home gifts I've ever gotten.

How are they doing? have they bred yet?

I'm still trying to get my hands on more females. I might have a line on some. I think that will help the spawning.

These fish are still between four and five inches so they're still young.

I moved my julis out to make more room for them and give them more confidence.

Last night, my alpha male managed to get one of the females to do a couple of passes around the nest, and both females look plump. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I may have my first spawn soon, but even if they spawn, she'll probably eat her eggs anyhow the first few times out, but you never know, I may get lucky.
