DIY tank and hood [Archive]

I build this stand last March for my 90 gal. tank, it took me about 3 days to finish both the stand and the hood. :D And by the way it only cost me $150.00 :dance:

Thanks , glad you both liked it:) .I put 3 coats of paint to get that dark cherry look.

that is awesome! How much did it cost for materials? I have been kicking around the idea of buying a kitchen cabinet and using it as a base for a 55 gallon stand. I am thinking all I would need is to add more support but I would save time on the building of each piece and doors.

The stand cost me about CAN$100 and 50 dollars for the hood, oh I forgot about the double flourescent light fixtures ($17) that I got from Walmart. Total is about $167:dance:
