Sunday October 23 at the Tulsa Zoo learning center.

The presentation will be on Livebearers by Gerald Griffin. There will also be an auction.

It's at 2 pm. Tell the gate that you're there for the fish club meeting and they'll let you in for free.

Tour the rainforest and other aquarium exhibits of the zoo behind the scenes. You will have to pay $2 to park at Mowhawk, sorry. Please contact me for the 'Secret code' to get into the zoo. Auction to follow.

Topics will include:

A presentation on live foods by Gerald Griffin.

Roundtable discussion on these issues, as time permits:
-Collecting Live Food in the Winter (I collect baby crayfish, gammarus, snails, asellus)
-Water quality / water changes
-dealing with the effects of dissolved gas in tap water (its winter!)
-backup planning for power outages and other emergencies (things to have on hand, etc)
-DIY CO2
-"Silencing" the fish room (air pumps)
-Reducing labor in the fish room
-Other organizations (ACA, AKA) - I'll bring some sample ACA publications
-New topics for talks
-Ideas for expanding the club
-Ideas for tours/ other club activities
