the blue jack i've had for 18 months, was 1.5" when I got it. the other one I got in the fall of 2004, it's supposed to be from a blue and a normal parent.

Cool man. Very nice. I've seen little guys for sale, but the 1-2"ers are like $50 CDN...

yeah, they've been together for 7-8 months now. hoping they'll spawn. they've been doing a little lip locking, displaying, and digging so keepingmy fingers crossed.

Well, best of luck. I've had 2 females do that, and then one will lay eggs and they'll play at being a couple. My gf just had 2 female keyholes both lay eggs together, all in the same patch. They guarded them for a few days and then ate them.

I don't know if this behaviour happens in the wild, or if our captive breeding and raising is messing up their instincts...

Sound more like a group-work kind of thing. Need to find a couple of college gilrs to help me out :dance:

Note of restaint - breeding, wild, college.....every possible quip I can come up with would get me kicked out of here....

Now back to those Dempseys!
