Sorry for the crappy pics. This new fish is in a hazy acrylic tank, but I think that between the 3 you can get a pretty good idea of what it looks like. Got it at the LFS marked microgeophagus stq...? I have searched the web. The only micro geo's I can find are of the ram variety. And I found pics of geophagus setequedas (somewhat similar name) but did not look anything like what I have.

This pic is really bad but note the red upper lip.

I think this is probably the best pic. You can see some of the red upper lip & the 3 blue freckles under the eye.

The guy at the LFS said they are about full grown at 3 inches. Not Petsmart, more knowledgeable staff, but still.... Personally, except for the red lip I think they look like brasiliensis.
Anybody with encyclopedic knowledge or a really good book on SA cichlids want to help me out?

Geophagus brasiliensis "cabo frio" (http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/other/geophagus_brasiliensis_cabo_frio.html)

Thinking the second one on this page?
Gymnogeophagus (http://home.c2i.net/Cichlid-Power/gymnogeo.htm)

Yeah definitely in the Geo. brasiliensis complex. A better picture could nail it down more specific which one.

I will try to get a pic of one of the smaller ones. They are in a glass grow-out tank right now so they should be a little easier to photograph. They do not have the redness on the lip though. The guy at the LFS said that he thought the smaller ones w/o red were females. They resemble the one in the pic Glaive posted more than the one I have in these 3 pics, because of the lack of the red upper lip.

Until I can get more pics here is a close up of the little guy from the last pic posted above.
