Well, the Haplochromis limax are definitely diggers. The two males - both of which have now colored up and are practically identical - have built little homes on opposite sides of the tank...
the former subdominant lives here:

and the more dominant male has created quite an impressive construction and large piles of sand on the other end of the tank. he hasn't quite dug up the annubias, but i'm sure it's just a matter of time.... (note the sand on the leaves... he's been dive bombing...)

Just thought I'd add that limax are DEFINITELY diggers as there's so little out there about this species...
