Your fish appears to be <I> Maylandia estherae </I>, commonly referred to as the "red zebra."

It doesn't look a little different than most Red Zebras?

I looked again in particular at the slope of the head and the caudal peduncle, and, from that shot and this eye at least, it looks like a red zebra--a male, I'd venture.

Wow, I feel kind of stupid :lol: ... I guess I just had never seen one that big before. Anyways, thanks again for the help Tom.
Hold on, Mecula....the size of your fish can't be determined from the photo, so if you report that he's a foot long, I'd say <I> M. mutantusninjae</I>. :wink:
The largest estherae I've kept grew to maybe just under six inches.

Yea he's about 6" long...
I did a search on google for red zebras and I came across some pics of larger Red Zebras and that is indeed my fish...heh. Guess I should of tried that before.
