Jack and the dempsey will be o.k. I think.

The texas may be a little bit violent for that tank. I tend to think texas are quite aggressive. I think you would be better off with the jack, the gt and some silver dollars and some clown loaches.

What if you use a green tex instead? I think a JD and a green tex would work. Not sure if the GT could go though.

I believe it would depend on the temperament of the individual fish and more specifically the temperament of the Texas.

I have seen some Texas that are as passive as a puppy, but I have also seen some that are as mad as a cut snake.

In my experience, if they grow up with other fish, they are more likely to be accepting of other fish. But this is no guarantee. Sometimes a fish will grow up with other fish and when its reaching maturity it will just snap and kill anything in its path. This is obviously not an exact science.

If you want to be cautious, leave out the Texas, if you’re a risk taker, get all three. In any event, I think dithers such as Silver Dollars would be a good idea.
