Hey everybody.

I'm located close to Englewood Florida and I have 3 ponds with Koi, Oscar, Chiclids, Bala Sharks, Jack Dempseys etc etc.

Now this spring all my 3 ponds... oh well, short story I have about 500 assorted baby chiclids. My questions:

- can I sell them
- how would I do that, who can I contact
- in general any advice is helpful

I already contacted local pet stores, they took about 10-15 a store. Should I contact Wal-Mart???

Need your help my friends lol

Thx
Patrick

Well I sold some to local pet stores, I setup two new tanks, a built a new 8000gallon pond... now I just assorted all fish in the different ponds so they dont interbreed (maybe wrong word) and keep 3 ponds with same 'brand' fish...

The largest one 18thousand Gallons, I just let it go, let them bread and let nature take care of it lol.

If anybody wants some fish, I can always catch some...

Now I also got my Koi's and my Oscar breeding... Looks like they enjoy it here in Southwest Florida.

Hi Ruben

Glad they made the transport, send me some pics, that would be awesome. Should have plenty more in a couple month as I just setup the new pond that will only carry Cichlids :-)

How many did you get? Was it around 60? Did one in the waterbottle die or in the large plasticbag? He might been hurt prior to the transport.

If you set them up in a tank and provide plenty of hiding spaces also little tiny ones, you should have a supply for live as they will breed like crazy. The fry need very tiny little spots where they can hide during the first month, then they are fine. I notice other Cichlids eat babies if they can't protect themselves.

It's fun to watch... I just have a batch in my inside 55 gallon tank that carries about 12 mbuna Cichlids.

Take care, email me some pics !!!

I do have plenty of them if you are interested you can drive down to the Englewood area and have some.

There is also a fish farm in Punta Gorda, he actually supplies them all around the world. If you want I can give you the address, its about 1 hour south of you, not far from I-75 on Washington Loop.

He charges about 3.50 a piece...

that would be awesome- I'm borderline amatuer and working with a 46 gallon tank- using crushed coral as substrate and then rocks for structure. So, if you have some fish who wouldnt mind a home like that I wouldnt mind purchasing some from you. If youd prefer my email address is rain62583@hotmail.com . Also I am brand new to Florida so I'm not sure where most cities are- other than Bradenton, Sarasota, and venice ^^

Well, after Venice is Englewood and just south of it is Rotonda, thats where I am. If you want some fish from me, thats no problem, I just need to catch some. I have guests from Switzerland right now but will catch some 10-12 for you over the weekend, then you can come and pick them up anytime you want. I'm either home or on the Golf Course lol.

I keep your email and message you when I caught some...

My girlfriend wants to see pictures of them. otherwise- i typically work from 11-7:30 mon-fri and 10-4 on sat, and maybe we could set up a time to pick some up when you can get to it.
