It's official: my cichlid addiction has spread to plecos! I now have the following:

-L018 gold nugget
-L47 Mango
-L90 papa panaque
-L168 butterfly
-L191 dull-eyed royal
-L204 panaque sp. ("flash")
-L260 queen arabesque
also, I have 1 rubberlipped pleco, and a huge number of bristlenose plecos (mostly albino, a few long-finned) to do the actual work of algae cleanup...

...I obviously need help...:faint:

...I can see having to put in a 180 some day, just for plecos. Never would have guessed that!

My lfs knows me well, and knows my weaknesses, so they keep looking out for things like this! I need to do a little rearranging, though, since my butterfly is hiding out in my midas tank, and my midas is starting to get his adult attitude! And suckers, from what I hear, are born every minute!

My lfs also has one in that I haven't ID'd yet. It is labelled as just "Midnight pleco"...might be a vampire, but not sure. It looks kind of dull next to my gold nugget, though, so I haven't picked it up...yet.

I would post pics, but, well, you know...

you're pretty far gone...may as well take the next logical step and start breeding 'em!

It's only a matter of time. I got most of my bristlenose plecos from a member of my local club who breeds them, and she will share her secrets (as long as there is no breeding challenge going on:D)...so as soon as some of these reach breeding size, it will probably be a project for me.

For the others, I only have single specimens currently...although, for the queen arabesque, would I need to get a king tiger, or would any royal do? I've got a dull-eyed royal. :D

BTW, I pulled my butterfly pleco from the midas tank, and put it in my SA tank. It SHOULD be less dangerous in the long run, although now it has to avoid not 1, but 3 big cichlids.
