At my lfs they have a 100g for $225. Is this a good deal. I think it is considering a 150g costs $500.

Where do you live? I live in stockton Califronia and I just picked up a 100 gallon tank with rod iron stand for $99.99. If everything is more exspensive where you live maybe that if a good deal, but I know I got a great deal for sure. Hope you find a good deal.

are you buying it with everything with it like a filter, gravel, and heater or nothing. Becouse you could get a 100 g tank for 100 dollers with nothing in it.

hot dam, I must be living in the wrong place.... a 55G tank w/hood costs $100 here. a 90G tank is $200+ just for the tank....

Shop around. Usually smaller stores have better deals on tanks as the suppliers are local rather than hagen and other large companies like that and they are more or less an attractant for business. The best fish stores are small ones.

Some of you guys must live in deal city! I can't think of anyone locally who would sell a 100 gallon for less than $180...that includes the 15 east Atlanta petsmarts/pet cos. and the 12 LFSs that I know of.

Must be nice. I saw a used 180g bowfront, reef ready for only $1299. That seems a lot steep to me, but KC isn't exactly mecca for fish enthusiasts. We have a club, but they must all be gettign their stuff from other places. Heck the same LFS, the only place to buy Tangs reliably, is selling _multis_ for $18. I can buy F0 online for a lot less than that!

Needless to say, as tempting as they are, those multis haven't moved in over three months. I might see about trading in some little julis against some of them eventually, but I'm not goign to pay that straight up!

definitely - my lfs is alot higher than that - unless you're talking used... then I guess about $1/gallon is about usual... never seen less than that though!

That seems pretty cheap for the bay in Cali. 100 galons arent cheap in San Jose.
