I was sold this fish as 100% red devil but I'm not sure because you never really know anymore. So tell me what you think it is .... rd, midas, or mix.
It's just over 7 months old and is between 7.5-8"

Ya I've found that most people in Iowa are just into Africans. Geo Blue what SA/CAs do you have? I currently have a 6" Texas, 2 4" firemouths, and a juvy jack dempsey and green terror. I just gave away 6 others yesterday because my tank was too crowded.

Oh ya plus the midas above. If that's what it is. I have no clue so I'll go by what you said.

I did some research and found out that it is at least a majority if not almost 100% midas. Thanks GB I looked into the eye thing and you're right the eye shows that its a midas.
Here is a picture of a true red devil... http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/truereddevil.xml

I personally think it is a hybrid based on the head shape and the lips. Just my opinion though. Nice fish!
