what do you think is best, buying brand new oak 125 gallon tank for $1000 or making one?

I would make it. What would you make it out of? Plywood?

$1,000.00 seems a very high price for a 125.

yeah, $1000 does seem like a lot for a 125...Wut kinda material is it made of??? At the Petsmart where I work at, a 125 costs about $350-$450 and we have a 135 Oceanic all glass for around $500 i believe

By "oak", are you referring to it being in a full oak cabinet? If so then the price is looking a little more reasonable, still in the high end, but reasonable. That'd be close to what you'd pay for a 125g & full oak cabinet & matching hood here.
