I have a 55-gallon tank with a young Herichthys carpintis couple, and a school of giant danios. I'm ready to add a little cleanup crew, with a couple of raphael cats being the most likely choices. I've got several in another tank, and was curious about other possibilities. I have to be very careful about size: it seems like every time my lfs has an interesting, unusual catfish, it's one that will exceed 2 feet max size...so I have to close my eyes and keep walking. Any recommendations?

Also, I'll be trading some fry for a bag of bristlenose plecos next weekend, and I _could_ just let a couple of those handle cleanup duties (I have several tanks in need of plecos right now, but I probably will end up putting 1 or 2 in here).

Thanks! :ok:

Why not try some pictus catfish? They're awesome and lively and only get to be 6 inches. They have polka dot on them aswell!

I ended up getting some botias (they were labelled as "tiger botia", but I think they are botia pulchra) for this particular tank, and am liking them so far.

I have been looking at pictus cats, and think they would be a good choice...I just have to figure out if I have a tank to put some in :D.
