While searching through old threads I saw that well over a year ago GypsyMermaid has asked me to supply a pic of my Haplochromis Muhuru.
Well, over a year later and with new Digital Camera in hand and finally learning how to post pictures about two weeks ago I have them for you.
Here we go...
http://www.cichlidforums.com/postimages/2005-06-04/101702-001.jpg Male (Purple Muhuru)
http://www.cichlidforums.com/postimages/2005-06-04/101702-002.jpg Female (OB Muhuru)
There were originally three...1m and 2f.
The smaller female died shortly after I purchased her.
The larger female was larger than the male and this may be the main reason why they never bred.
The male has finally caught up to the female in size, but as you can see by a few of his battle marks, he is being picked on by the female...so the other day I went out and purchased him a mini harem...3 females....and just in case he has any problems with them I bought another male...much smaller than him, of course.
The larger female has been removed. My hopes are (actually the idea came from Chris (Samaki)) that when the male gets a bit bold with the girls I will add the larger female back in and hope that they get it on.
